McDonald Pediatrics

About Us

Donna McDonald, M.D., F.A.A.P. has been in practice for over 20 years.  She completed a Bachelor of Arts in English, Theater and Speech in 1970 at the University of Kentucky.  In 1976 she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology.  Dr. McDonald then graduated from The University of Kentucky Medical School in 1982 and completed a three year Pediatric residency program at The University Medical Center in 1985.  She came to Newark, Ohio just after completing her residency and has been practicing pediatric medicine here since that time.

Dr. McDonald is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  She has privileges at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark and Children's Hospital in Columbus.

Our staff consists of our Office Manager, Sharon, three M.A.'s, Vickey, Mendi, Susan and our Asst. Office Manager, Stephanie.

Our staff answers the phones at all times during our office hours.  We have a phone tree in place that allows stream-lining of calls and shorter hold times for patients. When we are not open for office hours the physicians answering service is always available and they will contact Dr. McDonald with questions or concerns.  

During our office hours any of our staff can be reached or a message will be relayed to them.  If a question cannot be answered directly on the phone then a message will be written and it will be delivered to the appropriate person.
